PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Green Encapsulating Carpet Cleaner
|
|
CarpetGeneral® Encapsulating Cleaner 5821 is
a powerful, state of the art cleaning
formula that is capable of tackling heavy
soil loads commonly found in carpet. It
contains a unique crystallizing polymer that
holds soil in suspension so it can be
extracted by dry vacuuming. There is no
sticky detergent residue left behind to
attract additional soil. Its unique formula
emulsifies and encapsulates soil for easy
removal.
Encapsulating cleaning is
a low-moisture maintenance method ideal for
businesses that do not have time to wait for
carpet to dry like in traditional hot water
extraction. This process allows cleaning
companies to provide a continual high level
of appearance at a lower price than other
methods while generating high levels of
productivity. Although traditional hot
water extraction cleaning must still be
performed from time to time to get a
deep-down clean, encapsulation cleaning
helps prolong the time in between cleanings
This method is designed for commercial
maintenance only.
This method
of carpet cleaning is becoming more and more
popular in commercial carpet maintenance. It
should be used as an interim maintenance
method and should be followed periodically
(every 2-3 cleanings) by a thorough hot
water extraction.
The encapsulating chemical (a liquid
cleaning agent) is sprayed on and then
brushed into the carpet using a cylindrical
or rotary brush machine or bonnet. The
encapsulation chemistry surrounds each soil
particle and crystallizes it so it can't
attract other soils. The
encapsulated soil particles release from the
carpet fiber and are removed by normal
vacuuming which will generally be done by
the janitorial staff at regularly scheduled
times.
Since its a low moisture system, carpets can
be put back into use promptly. This process
allows maintenance companies to provide a
continual high level of appearance at a
lower price than other traditional methods
while generating high levels of
productivity. Encapsulation is designed for
commercial maintenance only. Application:

Encapsulation cleaning steps: The first step
is achieving the best possible
pre-vacuuming.
Remember that you want to remove the 79
percent of dry soils first.
As the carpet is thoroughly scrubbed the
Encapsulation Cleaner 5821 is applied and worked evenly
through the carpet fiber. It is helpful to
use the detergent with foaming ability as an
indicator of how much solution is being
applied to the carpet.
You simply want to whiten the surface of the
carpet; a heavy foam is not desirable.
Vacuuming can be performed at the next
scheduled vacuuming. No rinsing is required.
Rinsing actually defeats the purpose of the
encapsulation technology.
Cleaning
dilute 4 oz. of Detergent per gallon of hot
water.
Spotter/Pre-spraying: In heavily soiled
areas pre-spray Detergent mixed at 6 oz. per
gal.
Scrub the carpet evenly; a heavy foam
build-up is NOT desirable. Just lightly
whiten the surface of the carpet. For heavy
soil make additional dry scrubbing passes
without adding more solution to the carpet.
