CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 As we know, coffee and tea are two of the most widely consumed beverages. This means that both cause many stains on carpet and upholstery. Unfortunately, they can be extremely difficult to remove. CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 was especially formulated to make the removal job easier for the professional.


Removes cellulose browning from carpet and upholstery. Removes coffee and smoke stains. Effective in reducing water marks. Biodegradable.
An application of Browning and Coffee Stain Remover will reduce the intensity of animal stains, making them less obvious or in some cases, remove them completely.

It can also be applied on upholstery. If over wet, the padding or stuffing under the upholstery fabric can discolor the face fabric. Browning and Coffee Stain Remover can remove troublesome browning. Follow specific directions for upholstery.

CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 quickly and effectively removes both coffee and other natural tannin stains found in tea, cola, wine, urine, perfume, some inks and dyes. CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 is also effective on browning caused by over-wetting, wicking of jute backing, or high alkaline conditions. 

Effective on new or old stains - Our special formulation makes CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 effective on new or old tannin spots and stains. Despite the fact that some “old” coffee and other tannin stains may affect dyes causing extremely deep brown stains, CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 will modify and reduce the stain color and intensity in just one application.

  Patch test it first .As with all cleaning products, test on fabric for color fastness in an inconspicuous area.

Directions for cleaning browning:

·        Do not dilute. Pre-test fabric or carpet for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area.

·        Apply CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 using a chemical sprayer.  DO NOT MIST.  Apply uniformly to affected area.

·        Brush in with pile brush (if using on carpet).

·        Allow CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 to work until browning is reduced or disappears.

·        Extract with portable or truck-mounted vacuum system while applying a fine spray of CarpetGeneral® Carpet Shampoo 3947.

Directions for coffee stain:

·        Do not dilute. Use CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 just as it comes from the container.

·        As with all cleaning products, test on fiber for color fastness. To test for color fastness, apply use solution to a clean white absorbent cloth. Blot with solution saturated cloth in an inconspicuous area.  After blotting, check cloth for dye transfer.  Dry each area using a hair dryer checking for color change or bleed.

·        On small areas, apply CarpetGeneral® Browning Treatment & Coffee Stain Remover 5901 to a clean white cloth.  Then thoroughly wet stain with the saturated cloth.

·        On large areas, product may be applied with a sprayer.

Allow to work until stain is lightened or removed. Then blot (DO NOT RUB) with a clean, dry, white cloth to remove excess moisture if desired.


 For use on upholstery where browning has occurred: Do not dilute. Use Browning and Coffee Stain Remover just as it comes from the container. Apply Browning and Coffee Stain Remover using a chemical resistant sprayer with a fine spray. DO NOT MIST. Apply uniformly to affected area. Do not over wet. Allow Browning and Coffee Stain Remover to work until browning is reduced or disappears. Extract with a portable or truck mounted vacuum system while applying a fine spray of a neutral detergent.

Non-combustible. Fragrance:  Sharp pungent odor..
Appearance:  Water white. pH:  @ use 3.4-4.5. Dilution:  None. ( Ready To use).
Coverage:  Up to 200 sq. ft. per gallon.
